This year at the NEA Representative Assembly I was asked to screen Candidates for the 4 ESP-at large Director seats. We met on the 29th of June from noon till 5. The candidates came in one at a time to answer the same seven questions that we asked all of them. We chose to endorse 3 of the 4 candidates who screened with us. According to our by laws we can only act to endorse or not to endorse if a candidate screens with us. One of the candidates could not make her screening time so we could not endorse her. It is always a good thing to get to talk to these people in a closed setting. I felt like I really got a good feel of what they each stood for and how they would represent us. |
