LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT GRANT
REIMBURSEMENT POLICY
A limited number of Leadership Development Grants are available to local associations. The purpose of this grant is to encourage locals to plan and conduct leadership programs. The program’s actual costs may be reimbursed. The maximum amount per year is not to exceed $1.00 per member, based on the previous year’s local membership. Membership promotional materials are not eligible for reimbursement.
A confirmation letter of approval by SWOEA will be sent to the local president.
The reimbursement request must be submitted to the SWOEA President no later than 45 calendar days after the program. Bills for all summer programs must be submitted before August 31, which is the end of the fiscal year. A reimbursement check will be issued and mailed to individual local associations only!
Program topics and/or program dates conflicting with SWOEA/OEA programs and/or dates will be considered a duplication and funding will be denied. (6/00)

- Programs should be based on leadership development.
- Funding will be approved for programs that are not a duplication of programs provided by SWOEA/OEA.
- SWOEA-COD’s participation in the funding of the planned activity should be recognized.
- Receipts and evaluation forms shall be sent to the SWOEA office along with the Reimbursement Request .
- The SWOEA Executive Committee may disallow reimbursement if the local association does not follow the policy.
- Reimbursement will be made to local associations.
- SWOEA-COD Leadership Development Grant money is not to be spent for alcoholic beverages.
BILLS FOR ALL SUMMER PROGRAMS MUST BE SUBMITTED BEFORE AUGUST 31, WHICH IS THE END OF THE
FISCAL YEAR.
APPLICATION MUST BE SUBMITTED SIX WEEKS BEFORE PROGRAM IS SCHEDULED.
